Mrs. Lucy Rovegno - 2nd Grade

Mrs. Rovegno is a 23-year veteran at Sacred Heart School, graduating from Queens College in North Carolina, where she specialized in Early Childhood Education.  Mrs. Rovego attended Catholic school, and both of her daughters attended Sacred Heart School.  Teaching the second grade class has been the fulfillment of a childhood dream for Mrs. Rovegno, because she has never forgotten how her second grade teacher took her “under her wing” and gave her a profound sense of self worth. It is also with a tremendous sense of pride and Christian duty that Mrs. Rovegno prepares our second grade children for their First Holy Communion…a task that brings with it weighty responsibilities and priceless rewards. When Mrs. Rovegno looks at each of her students, she realizes that their parents have entrusted her with their child’s scholastic and moral education, so she is mindful to care for each child, as she would want her own to be cared for.
