Mrs. Eileen Simmons - 1st Grade

Mrs. Simmons has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Annhurst College and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University.  Her experience includes teaching Grades 1 through 5 for 9 years at Our Lady of Mercy School in Whippany, and then principal there for 3 years.  She then diversified her experience working in Public Relations for Katharine Gibbs School in Montclair and New York City.

Mrs. Simmons came to Sacred Heart School in 1991, and has been teaching the First Grade since then.  She is also the Terra Nova coordinator, assists in coordinating artifacts for AdvancedEd Accreditation, and was previously the Middle States Self Study/Accreditation Chairperson for the school.

Mrs. Simmons maintains high standards for her students, while teaching them a love for learning, and most especially Reading.
