Home and School
What is Sacred Heart's Home and School Association?
We are a small group of parents joined together who represent the Parent Community of our school. Our main focus is to raise funds. The funds that are raised help off-set many costs. First and foremost, we raise funds so that we can maintain a reasonable tuition program. We at Sacred Heart, while trying to keep the Spirit Within Us, struggle with many dollar-dependant reasons to fundraise. We believe that we chose a Catholic School Education so that our children will be taught and nurtured with morals, good judgement and the love of God. We choose to have prayers said and God's name used as an everyday term.
The Home and School Association knows that by working together to reach our fundraising goals, our children and teachers will see that what we are working for is them and their future. As in the past, the HSA is always looking for volunteers. We want more parents involved.
As of the 2006-2007 school year, we have opened our meetings to all parents. We feel that this is a way to gather new ideas and find hidden talents in our parents themselves. Sometimes it is not all of the time you can devote, it is the quality of the time. We look forward to seeing some new faces at our meetings and sharing some great ideas for our future successes.
For the 2004-2005 school year, the goal of the Home & School Association was to raise $80,000.00. The actual amount raised was $103,050.00. We exceeded our goals.
